id bd RE: BLACK PANTHER VARTY CHARLOTTE PEVIGION News rejurts at Winston-Salem, North Carolina, indicated the Forsyth County School Board has refised the Panthers use of the Adkins High school Auditorium for their planned rally of March 7, 1971. A second source advised on March 7, 1971, that the Intercommunal Rally was held at a private residence across the street from Adkins High School due to the fact. the school board did not. allow Panthers the use of the Adkins High oa) | Auditorium. & total of approximately 60 people attended. although there were not that many at. any one time. The prancapal speaker was LARRY LITTLE, who was critical of ali the established organizations at Winston-Salem, North Carolina. f!lse present and participating was JULIUS wHty-CoRNELE, aR. ‘The pecpie showed little interest in the activities, and the cnly incident occurred when two young Negro males at. the rally became critical of LARRY LITTLE, telling Lir?LF he had ¢ ne nothing to assist the people and should leave town tor the good of the Negro penple of Winston- Salem, These two individuals were forcibly ejected- & characterization of the iikack Panther Party 1s attached as an appendix to this memorandum. 10
