SYNOPSIS oF FACTS: concerning theft of his 1922 model Y-& Ford Coupe,
Motor No. 40-251245, by sane unknown person or
persons June 8, 1923,

Texas 7-8-53 and letter from Dallas Bureau Office dated
7-12-33.
DETAILS:
Mr. R, D. Taliaferro, who operates the B & H Service Station
at Madill, Oklahoma, advised the writer that he purchased » 1923 model V-8 Ford
Coupe, Motor No. 40-251245, from the Woody Motor Company of Madill, Oklahoma May 5,
1955 and that while he paid for most of the purchase price of this car it wes financed
by the Universal Credit Company and insured with the Home Life Insurance Company of
New York for 75% of its value. Title to this car, therefore, Tallieferro stated, is
in his neme but the Home Life Insurance Company of New York hold a mortgage against
same.
On June 8, 1953 about 8 P.M. Talliaferro seid that he drove this
Gamukp the front of the home of Mr. Tom Lee Scott end left the keys in it. When he
came out of Mr. Scott's home about 25 minutes later the car was gone and he has no
idea who stole it. He said that Mrs. Joe Sverett, wife of a deputy sheriff, sew e
"strange, small woman" looking around on the street about that time in the evening
as if she were looking for someone or something, but Mrs, Everett could give no de«
scription whatever of this women except that she was a strange smell woman.
