CHARACTER OF CASE:
GLYDE CHAMPION BARROW, with aliases,
etal, NATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT ACT.
Company X, 129th Infantry Armory, loeated at Platt-
ville, Ill., was burglarized 4-19-35, at which time
Colt automatic pistols (375995, (872294, Jes7as9,
#505915, and §455167, were stolen, together with
Srowiing sutomatic rifles f252152, #251620, and
#252660,

DETAILS:
General C. EB. Black and Major Clay M. Donner were interviewed at
the headquarters of the Illinois National Guard located at Springfield, Illinois.
They caused the records of the Illinois National Guard to be searched to determine
whether or not the guns listed in the report of reference had deen stolen from the
Armory of Company E, 129th Infentry. They stated thet their recoris show that Compan
EB of the 129th Infantry is located at Plattville, Illinois, and that mail reatved at
Plattville goes through the Yorkville, illinois Post Office. They stated that the
Amory at Plattville was burglarized on april 19, 1935, at which tine Colt’ automatic
Beaisls, 45 calibre, #575995, #872294, #257489, #505915, and 436167, were stolen;
st the same time Browning automatic rifles #252660, #252152, and #261620, were
stolen. ‘They stated that they have no record of the theft of Browning automatic
rifle #86221 trom any of the Armories in the State of Illinois.
| They further stated thet the proper person to contact at Platt-
ville, Illinois regarding the theft of these guns is Ceptain Charles G, Howell,
Comminding Officer of Company E, 129th Infuatry,
