I called Inspector Moore in Birmingham shortly after
9:00 Pp, M. 9-15-63 and reiterated instructions that no blow-
by-blow reports of our investigation are to be furnished to
Departmental attorneys on the scene in Birmingham.
Mr, Moore made a request for the assignrfent of a

Inspector Moore will be either at the office or t
at his room in the Bankhead Hote1, Room 908, Birmingham,
Alabama, .
SAC Faisst, during this call, advised that Agents
had heard shots and had observed a Negro male with blood on
mot his shirt. The Negro male was taken from the scene in a
police car. Indications are that the Negro was dead.
Birmingham is checking into this and will furnish details.
