Inquirjes at Birmingham have developed the fact that a private investigator was hired by Negroes who were affected by the early bombings in Birmingham when these Negroes were gradually moving into previously all white neighborhoods. These bombings occurred principally in the Center Street, North, section. The bombings began in or around 1947 and have con- tinued. However, there was a skip between the years 1950 and 1956.
