As you have been advised previously, summary airtels are to be submitted weekly and separately in both the Greenbombs and Bapbomb cases, and these cases are to be reported separately. The Bureau is not aware of any information that indicates that the prime suspects in the Bapbomb case are definitely involved in Greenbombs, or any other information that would indicate 1 that these cases should be consolidated. The Givision of work among the personnel of the special squad handling investigations is the responsibility of Inspector nd the SAC; however, both of these cases must ned and intelligent investigation until they are solved. > —_ NOTE: Bapbomb is the case involving the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama, September 15, 1963, in which four Negro girls were killed. Greenbombs is the case involving the explosion at the residente of T. L. Crowell, 4-1-65, and aif sign bombs located in ‘\ Birmingham, Alabama, 3/21-22/65 and 4-1-65. Reairtel advises summary of investigation in both cases is being submitted under caption of Greenbombs and requests Bureau advice as to Bureau's desire that all ——~— investigative activities relating to Birmingham bombings be reported under the Greenbombs caption.
