Soe During the investigation of captioned case in the Knoxville Division, no pertinent information was developed relating to any of the bombing matters, Birmingham Division. No suspects or subjects were developed during the investigation , by the Knoxville Division. All known members of klan~type and ‘ hate-type organizations in the Knoxville Division were interviewe with negative results. Three currently listed bomb suspects and: three formerly listed bomb suspects of the Knoxville Division wer interviewed, their whereabouts during pertinent periods determine and check of toll calls made; all met with negative results. In accordance with suggestion made to Birmingham in Knoxville teletype to Birmingham 9/26/63 and approved by Birmingham teletype to Knoxville 9/26/63, no report being submitted this division as no pertinent information was developed. All interviews of members or suspected members of klan-type and + hate-type organizations in the Knoxville Division, interviews of present and past bomb suspects, and interviews with individual: to verify whereabouts of bomb suspects were recorded on FD-302s, The original FD-302s relating to all of the above are being retained in Knoxville file 157-189, Set forth below is a summary of investigation and list of individuals interviewed for indexing purposes of Birmingham and Bureau.
