It is felt that because of present racial tension in NYC, the arrest of any members of these Harlem youth street gangs particularly those who have adopted a “Muslim type"alias, will bring newspaper publicity which implies that these youths are a part of some anti-white plack nationalist movement. As pointed out in reairtel, the NYO feels that /the activities of these street gangs represent a local police problem.
