Obviously, I know very little abouwtthe-ABSCAM inves-
tigation. However, due to the noises which have been
escaping from Congress since this news became public,
I've felt that you and the Bureau may be in need of
some public support, This may be considered my part.
(Recent history gives one the impression that “white-
collar" crime pays very well, indeed, -
Illegal activities by our lawmakers is not unusual
news, Successful prosecution of these lawmakers,
iJhowever, is somewhat unusual,
I wish you and your people the very best and I hope
that the ABSCAM investigation results in justice for
the American people,
