Washington, B.C. '
Novenber 16, 1932 RECHIVED
MEMORANDUM FOR ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL DODDS
Information has been received that on November 10, at
Youngstomm, Ohio, at the Workers' Center, 334 East Federal,
& meeting was held to make arrangements to send « delegation
of children to Viashington, D.C. It seems that delegations
of children ere being sent from all over the country to
gather in Washington, proceed to the “hite House, and on
November 24, Thanksgiving Day, stage a demonstration thank-
ing President Hoover for the hungry, famishing, clothesless
children his four years in office have produced, and demand~
ing free school books, clothing, and warm meals at the
schools three times a dey for the children.
At a meeting November 8 in Youngstowmm, Ohio, it appears
that a report was made on the National Hunger March, the
statement being made that the march will teke place soon,
there being nine lines, one of which will pass through
Youngstown with over a thoussend delegetes. Arrangements were
made for a conference on November 23 to elect thirty-two
Gelegates to go from Youngstowm; to get three trucks with
food and clothing, and $320.00.
The above information was gratuitously furnished from an
anonymous source.
Very truly yours,
rector.
