Baron Van Der Noot, of 305 Nest 98th Street, who has bean

Watermen stated that he was formerly Treasurer of the
Bonus Expeditionary Forces and was engaged in soliciting efor
them, and during this time maintained an office at 100 reg arth
Street. He stated that an individual by the name of Duke* Hadley,
during August of this year, had phoned to Waterman's office on s:veral
occasions in an attempt to make an appointment with Paterman and
. at one time came to the office during Waterman's absence and waited
three hours for him. Waterman stated that he later arranged an ie
appointment at 9 P.if. on or about August 25, 1932 and took Baron a
+ Van Der Noot with him to meet Hadley. Waterman stated that as nour
;as he can recall Hadley met them et his home in a large apartmen’
hotel on either 47th or 45th Street. Lr. Waterman stated that his
interest in meeting Hadley was because he supposed Hadley wished io
coutribute something to the B.E.F. He stated thet this apartner
hotel was located near Madison Avenue. Waterman and Baron Vande: Noot
. Were both present during the conversation with Hadley in which
S Hadley represented himself to be in the tobacco business.
