Repre- sentatives of the United States Gecret Service, United States Veterans Administration, Metropolitan Police Departaent, United States In- nigration Sefvice, and Military Intelligence Division of the War Depertaent, were present, in addition to United States Attorney if Ico de Rover, Ere Parrish, n attorney in Ur. Doda! divieion, ire if J, Edgar Hoover, Director of the United States Bureau of Investicgutica, end two of hia sssistants, Nr. Hughes and Ur. Appel. i, Kr, Hoover reported for the United States Bureau of Investigati-n that it had made no investigation of eny. phese of the bonus marcier situetion end therefore had no infornetion uvallable, Because of the statenents which had been iseued in the press concerning radical activities, thie phase of the natter mas clecussed and the repre- sentatives of the verioua organisations were called upon to furnish the information which they might have concerning this, #0 woll az gny other phéses of the situations . Hr, Sloan of the United States Secret Service, stated that tie only information which he had was in the poesession of Inspector Davia of the Hetropolitan Police Department and atated he had worked ‘in close collaboration with Inspector Davin and had tsxen a groun 0: alleged radicals who had bem srrested within tho District of Coluct‘a to the District Line to see that they left the District. Inapector Davis turned over to Ly. Rover a file which ho hac containing ell of. the informetion in his possessions Representatives of the wilitery Intelligence, the Immigration . Bureau, sad the Veterans Adniniptration had no information to furnien. It was agrocd that the ftunvtionof the United States Bureau of - Investigation would be to check any fingerprint recorde which might -be available in the criminal fingerprint files tn order to aecertein the police records of any persons who hed been arrested during the riots or who had participated in tha bonus march, It was also to ti- gist the United Statos Attorney in presenting the evidence to the Grand Jury by interviewing persons designated by him.
