~2- Reports from Salt Lake City state that one Lovis on, now residing at 1014 Vest 17th Street, Cheyenne, oming, -who claims to be Cuartermaster of the Bonus Expeditionary Force, has recently been soliciting memberships in this force at Cheyenne, Wyoming, for which he charges a fee. Police records show he was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming, September 5, 1932, on a vagrancy charge and released the fol- lowing day. These reports indicate that two hundred marchers : from San Francisco and intervewing pointsvere expected in 4 Denver, Colorado, about November 22. Thirty vere exzectcd to join this gronp at Denver and the entire group iw:s to then lezve November 23 for Washington. It is stated thet the tventy-cight persons who arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Hovember 19 are sid to have left on freight trains. Twenty persons from Salt Lake City, who are believed to be strictly residents of Salt Lake City, left on November Zl. The aujority left by truck, but a few were in sutomobiles. This purty of twenty is ssid to be commanded by Chick Rolfe, s2id to be an ex-service man. Reports from Pittsburgh under date of Novenher 21 indicate that a meeting was held on November 11 to make prenzr- ations for a Hunger March to Washington on Pecember 5, “nd to feed and shelter one of the main colume of marchers from the ‘est, which is to arrive Pittsburgh December 1. One Tom Meyerscough presided and Fred Kerns ke. A comnittee of thirty burgh. These reports state that the 2 chers are to vide in trucks instead of automobiles, so us not to give the parade the appearance of prosveri ‘nother meeting was held November 13 in order to raise funds to finance the hunger march.
