PURPOSE: :
To consider the question whether the American Civil
Liberties Union (ACLU) on a national level should be documented ©
in various types of Bureau investigative reports.
BACKGROUND:
4 . The ACLU has not been investigated by the Bureau. Cor al

officials of the ACLU. The ACLU does not concern itself with the |
question of guilt or innocence of a person but maintains its policy
is to defend the civil liberties of an individual regardless of.
