Memorandum of telephone call from Mr. Dunn, at Chicago.
Mr. Dunn said he was calling about the Sere Juice case.
He said thet L. W.“McCormack, e@ representative of the
HOV27Q39 Li Netional Committee end Raytfenjamin, came in to see him.
He told Mr. Dunn that Mr. Benjamin had told him to eae
to see Mr. Dunn at the Bureau office and he could get all
of the information the Burean has relative to the “shake
dom".
Mr. Dunn said he told Mr. McCormack thet all the files are
in Weshington et the present time and that the Attorney
General would have to release them. Mr. Hoover said that
Mr. Dunn did the right thing.
Mr. McCommack told Mr. Dang/Grat yesterday he hed had a
personal interview with Al*Capons, who gave his personal
esaurance that his “hoodlumé” are not concerned in the
racket in any way. Mr. Hoover said it would be a great
mistake to deal with anyone who is in personal wntact
with Al Capone.
