Criminal Division of the Department,
called and advised that several representatives of the Civilian Pro-
duction Administration were in his office discussing the possibility o:
either civil or criminal action against the Flamingo Hotel of Las Vegas,
Nevada. He explained that that organization had flaunted CPA restrictions
against unnecessary tuilding and-was engaged in a large project in connection
with a gambling casino. a . -
| ge that CPA representatives had received information
that the FBI was investigating Bugs Siegel, who allegedly has a control,
either personally or through his associates, of Projects Corpora-
tion, which in turn controls the Flamingo soces leliili that he =f 20.
would appreciate receiving for himself and for the consideration of the
CPA officials any information we might have concerning Siegel, the Nevada
Projects Corporation or the Flamingo Hotel which might be of assistance in
helping then determine whether legal action should be instituted against
those individuals and groups.
