This matter was formally presented to U.S.Attorney Green recently, who called me into the conference. Thereafter I had @ general discussion with Mr.Hostetter, at which time he agreed to submit his complaint in writing, in order that the matter / could be forwarded to the Bureau for appropriate decision. / To date I have heard nothing from Mr.Hostetter, and I SB8UMS Vuorclivic tuat bs bas taken the matter up directly with _ Washington. At any rate I observe from the morning paper that LS he is now in the city of Washington, and recently delivered a oot speech there, concerning the cost of crime to the business people of this city. 2 During my conference with Mr.Hostetter he was unable to furnish any information whatever of a specific nature, but generalized along the lines that the criminal element was secur- ing gontrol of many of the lebor unions in this city,principally theXCleaners and Dyers Union, the“Teamsters Union, and the Electrical forkers Union.
