The FBI does not have any publications avallablé
for distribution concerning Al Capone; however, you may wish .
to refer to "The FBI Story," a book written by Mr. Don Whitehead,
which contains some data relative to him. You will probably be
able to obtain a copy of it at your local library.
For your information, Capone was sentenced on
October 24, 1931, for violation of the Federal income tax lews
which do not come within the investigative jurisdiction of the FBI.
He was released from the Federal Correctional Institution,
Terminal Island, California, on January een 1939, and died on
January 26, 1947, at Paim Island, Miami, Florida.
