t Los Angeles, California September 6, 1946 MEMO, SAC: Re: BENJAMIN “BUGS" SIEGEL MISCELLANEOUS; INFORVATION CONCERNING; CRIME SURVEY Mr. ROSEN called from the Bureau at 8:55 aem. today and referred to the teletype from San Francisco dated September 5, 1946. He said that this teletype did not indicate whether the witnesses had been oath. I referred Mr. ROSEN to my telephones call with aie -:.-:... and He said he was familiar with that but since my pr one Pp he C.P.A. Officials in Wa were supposed to have communicated directly with Connine tone MMMM ecco him to Place the witnesses under oath. Mr. RO d that I should look over the San Francisco teletype and then comunioate with San Francisco to clarify any questions that might ocour to me in reading the teletype. He said he desired me to call him rather than for him to communicate directly with San Francisco. At 9:15 a.m. I spoke with Special Agent in Charge KINB, at t cisco Office and asked him to have Special Agen cal of the C.P.A, to determine whether the witnesses en placed under oath.
