I advised him that the Bureau as well as myself were pie most anxious to know the results of the hearing before the C.P.A. Commissioner on September 12, 1946 and that ication had as yet been received from the San Franoisco orsico Aa 2a that a tele- type had gone forward at 10:20 a.m.’ from San Franeises directed to the Bureau and Los angeles. After checking with the Teletype Room in the Los Angeles Office, it was ascertained that this message had not been received here and the Teletype Room communicated with san Francisco, who then sent the message by teletype at 1:20 p.m. Later, the original message sent by San Francisco was received by relay from the Chicago Office. At 7:00 p.m. September 15, 1946 Special Agen: tele- phoned from San Francisco and said that the informant of Francisco Office at the St. Francis Hotel advised that a reservat: 6: br for BEN SIEGEL of Los Angeles for a suite of rooms. At 10:55 a.m. on September 16, 1946, I spoke with Special Agent in Charge KIMBALL at San Francisco and advised him that we had now definitely placed SIEGEL in Los Angeles and asked who had occupied thi room reserved in the name of SIEGEL at san Francisco, bx mm came on the tele 90 or the SIEGEL reservati A.
