Jackson, Capone was sentenced on October 24, 1931, for vio- lating Federal income tax laws, which do not come within the nvestigative jurisdiction of the FBI. He was released from e Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, Cali- fornia, on January 19, 1939, and died on January 25, i947, t Palm Island, Miami, Florida.
