Your communication was received on May 10th. In
reply to your request, this Bureau does not have any mate-
rial concerning Al Capone which we can send you; however,
you may wish to refer to "The FBI Story," a book written
by Don Whitehead, which contains some data relative to him.
You may be able to obtain a copy at your school or local
library.
Jackson,
Capone was sentenced on October 24, 1931, for vio-
lating Federal income tax laws, which do not come within the
nvestigative jurisdiction of the FBI. He was released from
e Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, Cali-
fornia, on January 19, 1939, and died on January 25, i947,
t Palm Island, Miami, Florida.
Enclosed is some literature which I hope you will
ind of interest.
