This is being done in an effo conserve manpower, He asked what spot surveillances were in effect at Los Angeles and I told him that we poc had no spot surveillances in effect here; thatj}¥IRGINIA HILL had left for Chicago yesterday, but we did not have any surveillance on her nor did we request Chicago to surveill her, Mr. ROSEN then inquired concerning technical sur d I told him that at Los Angeles we were on BE Mr. ROSEN suggested that these technical iscontinued and I advised him that they were being at the Los angeles Office and, therefore, required no additional manpower. I also pointed out to Mr. ROSEN that at the conferences at the Bureau it was decided that we would keep on the technical surveillances at Los angeles and Las Vegas until we had inquired into the Flamingo Hotel matter. I advised Mr. ROSEN that we were covering the Las Vegas Club and also Room 401 at the Las Frontier Hotel at Las Vegas and this required two men on the plant. Mr. ROSEN said that we would continue this technical coverage, I asked Mr. ROSEN if any information had been secured at Washington concerning an additional C.P.A. stop order and Mr. ROSEN said that there had not. He requested that I call him on Monday, Ootober 14th, to ascertain the Bureau's attitude toward the further investigation of the Flamingo Hotel matter. A. E.
