The miss tng individual was also published tn the August, 1950, issue of the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, and as @ result the mtssing person was located in California and Congressman Gore expressed sincere appreciation for the service the Bureau rendered in this case. (79-24165) According to a memorendun from ur, G. C. Gearty to ir. H. H. Clegg dated February 23, 1951, Representative Gore 8ppkesatia luncheon sponsored by the Erchaage Club, Memphis, Tennessee, on February 20, 1951, Gearty and the SAC of the Memphts Office were guests. The talk of Representative Gore woe in Connection with crine Prevention week and he was very edmmendatory tn his comments concerning the Director and the Bureau. He stated that the Director in his opinion was the world's greatest leader in law enforcenent ‘and that the Bureau was the country's leading law enforcement organization. We adtrected a cordial letter of appreciation to Congressman Gore, on February 26, 2951, on the basis of this memorandum. i toca By letter dated November 5, 1952, the Director cordially eee congratulated Congressman Gore on-his election to. the United State Senate.
