In Bureau letter to the State Department dated July 13,
1942, reference was made to previous communications from the
Burean which furnished the State Derartment. with certein
information available relative to a number of persons connected
with foreign language organizations in this country, which
individuals were beinr considered by the State Department as
the ones to whom this government could turn for assistance in
any matter touching the organizations with which they were
corrected.
This letter to the State Department stated thal in
reference to a number of individuals contained on the list
submitted by the State Department it was noted that the names
of these individuals had been previcusly searched throur’: the
files of the Bureau at the request of the State Pepartment in
“the connection with rassports and visas and vertinent infcrmation
was furnished to the State Department. This letter set cut
the names of these individuals together with information as
to when the data was furnished the State Department as of ycssibie
assistance in locating the material. The followine information -
was set out repgardirs Doctor Albert Hinstein:
