While in Alaska the Cardinal, as a result of weather conditions, was obliged to limit his visit to Anchorage, Fairbanks, and -¢ some points of interest to him in both of these cities. aon itpined: : Following his arrival in Tokyo he notified gong local chaplains by telegram that he had lost his Pectoral : Cross somewhere on his journey.
