i Lf... 2 Om. oy at It was reported in Mr. Westbrook Pegler's column in the November 1, 1950 issue of the "New York Journal American" that Doctor kathryn KcHale was a perticipant in a national je conference on the German problem held in ifew Yoru, New York, bas March of 1947. He further reported that many of the sronsors £ this conference were members of the fociety for the Prevention of Vorid War III. The "New York Times" in its issue of February 4, 197, Page 10, contained the following relating to the Netional Conference on the Germen problem. "Pointing out thet'twice within a generation, the American people have hac to cefend themselves against ea predatory anc ruthless Germany! Mrs. Frant:lin D. hoosevelt and Edgar Ansel howrer, nevspapernan, invited 500 prominent Americans yesterday to attenc @ conference on the German problem et the eldorf-Astoria Hotel on Merch 6. The letters were sent on behalf” of the newly Cormed committee of the National Conference on the German Problem, 515 Madison Avenues "The letters urged Americans to 're-exemine the German problem and suprort the implementation of those principles which were originally establishee by the Allies to prevent the resurg- ence of a strong Germany’. "Among other nenbers of the sponsoring committee are Doctor Albert Linstein, Representative Helen Gahegan Douglas, Henry Korgenthau, Ire, esceceeee’ In its issue of March 7, 1947, on Page 11, the "New York Tires" reported as follows concerning the Hationel Conference on the Germen Problem held at New York on March 6, 19473 "h National conference on the problem of Germany, convoked by Mrs. Franklin Db. Ioosevelt and Ldger Ansel Mowrer, framed yesterday a program to implerent the Yalta and Potsdam egreements. It will be sent to the Arerican delegation at the the Moscow Conference and to the Upited €tates Government. "The conference met all dey at the ‘eldorf-Astoria Hotel, concluding with é dinner.
