scussion meeting at Georgetown, South Carolina, led by
a member of tha ahove-mentioned association from Crk Ridge,
Tennessee,
. A reply to the above letter was forwarded by mxno to
Mr. D. M. Ladd from V. FP. Keay, dated September 8, 1947. This
memo pointed out that the Association of Scientists for Atnmic
Education was founded in December, 1946 to handle educational
activities for the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) and
to receive funds from the Emergency Committee of Atomic Ceientists,
headed by Albert Finstein.
