a letter dated March 3, 1948, from the
ppeal of the Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee
exington Avenue, New York, New York to
Spanish Refugee Appeal, 111 Ellis
treet, San Francisco, California.
This letter stated in part that approximately
200 wires and letters asking people to be members of the
National Reception Committee fer Madame Irene Jolict-Curle
had been sent out and they hed received 25 refusals and
50 acceptances; that a list of the acceptances was being
enclosed. The name of Professor Albert Einste'n appeared
on this Tist as a co-chairman.
