The New York State Parole investigation conducted to determine if GALANTE'Sparole chould be wevoked gave the following summationof his activities since release from Sing Sing Prison on May 1, 1939. It was noted that he worked quite steady on a full-time basis until July 1940 for the Lubin Artificial Flower Company, 552 West Broadway, New York City, and then part-time until February 1941, Thereafter until about September 1941 he was empioyed as a longshoreman at various piers, From September 1941 to May 11, 1942, he was employed by the General Electro Plating Company, 176 Grand Street, New York City, He then received unemployment insurance until about August 1942, at which time he was employed with the Knickerbocker Transportation Company, 303 Grand Street, and allegedly employed there until taken into custody on January ’ lleged that he had been associating wit. who was suspected of operating a stil edera. U. However, ATU advised on October 10, + their informant was unable to identify GALANTE or, was charged with associating with an ex-convict, m January 12, 1943 and for driving an auto- 6 montns period = of time, such being unauthorized under the terms of his parole. He was returned to prison to serve the remaining portion of his sentence. E, Vehicle Violations 07D Records o reflected that the subject was issued an original drivers IfTcense permit #5311017 on September 3, 1952, This permit was lost and he was reissued operators permit number 125781 which was suspended on June 20, 1956 for 11 traffic summons during the period May 10, 1952 to December 13, 1955.
