Galante has numerous arrests deting to 1926 for robbery and assult. He was the prime suoject in the merder of Carlos Tresca in New York City in 1943. He is known to carry firearms and to have shot a police- man who wes attempting to apprehend him. He has served approximetely 10 years in Sing Sing Prison, New York. In view of his past record, HE SHOULD BE CONSIDEHED AniED AND EXTHEMELY DANGENOUS. Galante was reported in attendance at the Apalachin, New York home of Joseph Barbara on November 1, 1957, but escaped prior to apprehension of the others by New York Btete Police.
