FOR AMERICA We propose that the following actions be taken in Vietnam with an unqualified understanding and committment of the United States to withdraw all U.S. military power from that war-torn lend, q 1. Recognition of the Front for National Liberation as a legitimate indigenous political party; not simply the arm of a foreign power. ‘. . 2. Immediate plans to provide for the evacuation of all - Vietnamese citizens who feel their lives are in danger ‘and who wish to leave the country. 3, Immediate cessation of the bombing of North and South ~ Vietnam. + To provide relief from American military intervention: in Vietnam, tne U.S, should withdraw its troops. We . realize thec this withdrawal may not bring total peace . to the citizens of Vietnam, and that 4t may result in @ communist state, but we ate sure that the U.S. would | then no longer be involved in a war in which it has no legal or moral right. This proposal seems to represent to us a correct and effec- tive policy to further the well-being of the Vietnamese- a ~ policy that recognizes that force and arms can never bring peace or freedom, and that we can no longer attempt to dics tate the paths and futures of other nations. FOR VERTOL The Vertol Division, by supplying helicopters for the U.S. military effort in Vietnam, shares directly in che burden ‘of guilt.all America shares. We feel that, 1f workers and managers of this company truly deétre co serve the interests of truth, morality, peace, freedom, and commonsense in for-_ eign affairs: i ~ (1. The Boeing Corporation should refuse to sell helicopters to the United States for military use tn Vietnam. 2. If Vertol continues to sell these helicopters, se urge workers to seek employment elsewhere.
