I should guess thet this depends in large measure upon the course of the war in” -Viet-Nam and how it affects me inside, .Certainly there are matters of concern sufficient . to warrant Friends' continued wait, amongst them: 1) an end to the killing and suffering, 2) a change in government policy curtailing relief to the suffering - 9) tho approval of denied relief licenses, now estimated at $60,000, b) the unblocking of two AQAG bank ac- counts holding $1,400 -, 3) the removal of barriers, travel and otherwise, which presently forbid Friends to mirister directly to civilian casualties caught in the actual war zones, 4) a chance to present personaily our concern to those officials with authority to change these policies, 5) an explanation of the reasons behind our governzent’s abrogation of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Civilians ia 2 of War, 6) the solicitation of relief ccatributions from goverament personnel to replace funds frozea by the Treasury,_ ~ Still, despite the chalienge presented by these several objectives, I bave made no pledse | to continue until, resolving simply to carry on so long as I can find the light and strength to go forsard on a day-to-day, week-to-week basis.
