In November 1948, the AFSC published a "Foreign Service Memorenda” in which the Cormittce described their various relief activities in Europe and Asia during 1948. This "Hemorande" indicated the AFSC, in addition to its operations in India, Japan, etc., was also carrying out relief operations in the Comnunist-controlled countries of Hungary and Poland.
