T-1 stated he did not know any information
concerning questionable political ideologies of any of
the other speakers on the program but wanted to make it _
- known that above meeting was proposed in the event it
might have some connection with subversive groups in the
Houston area.
On July 13, 1955, T-2, who has furnished
reliable information in the past, advised he had been
acquainted with the activities of the AFSC as the orgeni-
zation held annual meetings in Houston, Texas, for about
three years previously. Informent stated a meeting of
the Houston Institute of International Relations, arranged
by the AMERICAN FRIENDS SERVICE COMMITTEZ, was held in
Houston on June 9-11, 1955. Informant advised the program
of the meetings and the speakers procured therefor were
arrenged by the AFSC headquarters in Austin» Texas.
