The American Friends Service Committee, which is the Quaker
organization and not a front agency, informed the Department that
it very much hopes to reinstate Miss Fairfax upon her return from
her current tour and has already offered her a choice of three .
different positions. The organizstion regards Miss Fairfax as a
mature, experienced worker for whom they have high respect and in
whom they have much confidence. Miss Fairfax had previously
represented the Service Committee in field work in both Austria |
and Israel.
