She advised that Marvin Watson, Special | Assistant to the President, is under the impression that the FBI has investigated and prepared a report on a series of ‘ incidents involving farm workers in Rio Grande City, Texas. I told Mrs. Stegall that I had no recollection of any over- all investigation of this situation but that I would check we and we would send over a memorandum, - As a matter of background, the United Farm Workers Organizing Committee, also known as the National Farm Workers %& Association, has been involved in organizational and strike 4 activities in Rio Grande City for some time directed against =+ fruit and vegetable producers.
