They began shouting into the fields that the workers should join the strike by UFW. There were approxi- mately 20 or 25 representatives of the UFW on the road. Out of the crew in which he was working, every- body left a e strikers except about three people, Juan pat nane SnOWN « o: c not because of the UFW urging, but because the owner of the truck began getting mad at the few workers who did leave and began swearing at them, s0 all of the workers left. When the workers left the field they went out on the road and joined the strikers. They stayed on the road at all times. They moved down towards the other crew working in the field which had approximately 60 people in it and began shouting at them to join the strike. At about this time a Deputy Sheriff drove up ane indicated that the road they were on was private property. The leader of the strikers, name unknown ed stated that he had checked the map on the road and it was public land. Another deputy came up and said that he would give them 10 seconds to leave inasmuch as the road was private Property. He counted to ten and then arrested everybody.
