Leaflets were distributed by the piekets reflecting previous demonstrations by the National Farm Workers against the Schenley Company and Di Giorgio Company, both of California, which resulted in better treatment for farm workers and the belief being that this demonstration could also accomplish better working conditions for farm workers associated with Perelli Minetti Company, Delano, California, Picketing commenced at 11:30 a.m. and terminated at 1:30 p.m. with no incidents noted or arrests being made.
