At this time the fillipino farm workers were the primary target. In 1965, the AWOC conducted a small strike of fillipino workers and some Mexican laborers at Arvin, California, which was supported by thé United Farm Workers _ Association (UFWA), headed_by Ces, vez. In September,’ Y965 the UFWA entered into the strike with the ANOC, receiving support ,from various civil rights workers. co \ \ The UFWA was originally organized by people ho split from the Committee Services Organization (C50) a Mexican-American organization designed to further and improve life of the Mexican-American in the United States.
