LADD y Re; Anonymous letter a sed to Harcy Hopkins, postmarked 4/7/41 at Cincinnati, Ohio. By letter dated April 13, 1941 Mr. Harry Ld Hopkins sub- mitted to the Atutomey General an anonymous letter which was addressed to him and postmarked Cincinnati, Ohio. This letter was submitted by the Attorney General to the Bureau for appropriate examination in the Technical Laboraiory. The evidence was received in the Laboratory on April 19, 1941 for document examination. The original evidence submitted is listed on the attached sheet. Specimen Qi is a white bond envelope bearing one ‘cancelled 3 cent Thomas Jefferson postage stamp. The address on Qi has been written on a typewriter. Qi measures 9.50 inches in length by 4.28 inches in width by 0.0043 inches in thickness, weishs 5.770 grams and contains no watermark. Spacimen Q2 is a white sheet of onion skin paper bearing a@ message that has been written on a typewriter. Specimen Q@ measures 10.98 inches in length by 8.50 inches in width by 0.0020 inches in thickness, weighs 1.830 grams and contains no watermark. Specimens Q3 throureh Q9 are white sheets of onion skin paper - and all bear a message that has been written on a typewriter. The physical characteristics are similar in all respects to those of specimen @. The specimens were also examined for latent fingerprints and nine such impressions, suitable for comparison pu developed.
