EDGARTIOWN, Mass., Nov. 18—

today moved “over the hill” from
the farm in which he has been
spending a vacation into ® winter
home, the estate of the late Har-
vard Dean Nathaniel &. Shaler.
Mr. Lindbergh took s summer
jresidence in Martha’s Vineyard
last August, settling on Seven
Gates Farm, a semi-co-operative
estate sprawling over scores “of
. acres of the lonely North Shore
of the Island. He was one of
several tenants. 1
The fier, with his wife and
children, has now leased the old -
Shaler residence, art Island show-!
Piece for many years, and moved,
in for several months. ‘
How long they will stay after,
the first of the year is not known.
Their movement attracts httle |
attention here, largely because of
their desire to remain out of public
view,
Dean Shaler bought the Seven
Gates estate in the late 1900s and |
lived there until his passing in 1906,
Henry Beetle Hough, editor of the,
Vineyard Gazette and author of}
“Country Editor." explained today.
The Harvard Dean, he said, in-
sisted that the terrain be left
natural, unspoiled, “tamed” enough
