Gentlemen:
There has recegtly come to our attention an
amazing letter fromScribner's Commentator. It
boldly extole Lindbergh and a B utterances and
viciously attacks United States aid to the Democra-
. cies. We feel that something more than an honest
opinion ig voiced in this letter; it has a virulence
~ and a vehemence that 1s unusual- and alarming to us.
2 Certainly Hitler would enthusiastically approve it!
5 The letter features especially the sentiment and
S words of the President of the Board of Directors.
\ There must be something behind it all. We think the
Ss entire outfit would bear watching.
Very truly yours,
