SUB- PROJECT NO. 13 (See also Project No. 30) PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER AND LOCATION: Ft. Detrick, Md. OBJECTIVE AND DETAILS OF WORK: To establish a petty cash fund at Agency activity at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. The purpose and use or the fund was (1) to support activities where unusual security considerations make it difficult to get financial support from more customary sources (that is, where proper funds for a given activity will require an undesirable amount of written or oral justi rication) , (2) io support the purchase of certain material where use of other funds would delay operations to an excessive extent. The most unusual expense was the rental of a car in Florida (December 1954) and cabin rental in West Virginia (June 1955) .
