On May 24, 1961, a source advised that a report was given on "Preedomways" at a meeting of the National Board, Communi st Party, USA (CPUSA), held on May | 24, 1961. — It was stated that the original plan called for the publication to be openly Marxist, but that it was later decided it would not be avowedly a Marxist publication.
