back to Newark and to New York City, and arriving

Before the Senate Crime Investigating Committee

Borso of Paterson, New Jorscy, identifba himself an a.
clothing mannfecturer and a free lance political worker for
any candidate and stated he had known Zwillman for fifteen
yeaere and had solicited Zwillman's political aid only om one
occasion during the 19),8 campaign when Boszo worked at trying
to get support for Marold Hoffman, Republicen gubornstorial
, eandidate in the priseries. It was later developed that £
Bozzo had contributed $25,000 in eash to the Republican
Party in 199. Marold Koffman, Governor of New Jersey froa
1935 ta 1937, advised the Senate Crine Tovestigeting Committee
that he had asked Zwillman for help in the 19/6 campaign.
Koffran stated thet he had met Ewiliman efter his ters of
Governor and edded that Zwiliman had never wade any improper
requests ef his.
During the 1951 Senate Crime Investigating Comittee
hesrings, other individuals with whom Zvillsan was elieged to
be friendly were Willien Egan, former Essex County Democratic
Chairman, Meyer Ellenstein, City Coomissioner, city of Newark,
Harold Krieger, Corporation Counsel, Jersey City, Hew Jersey,
John V¥. Kenny, former Mayor of Jersey City, end Ralph Villani,
former Mayor of Kewark.
