4) City Investing Company, New York City in 1945.
ENDLER stated that in connection with an anticipated
split of this company, he gave his bank an order to purchase
§,000 shares of City Investing Company stock to be picked up
in small lots so that the price would act be bid up. ENDLER
v waid a day or two later, stocks started to come in and ZWILLMAN
= gave ENDLER $25,000 in currency and shortly thereafter $20,000
in currency, and later a small amount, amounting to $300 or $400
in currency for his share of the City Investing Company stock.
5) Tanforan Race Track in California,
December, 1945.
ENDLER said arrangements were made te purchase this race
track for approximately $1,500,000 of which a $150,000 d it
was to be made and the balance paid in ninety days. ENDLER said
ZWILLMAN put up $75,000 in currency, a receipt for which was made
okt to JOSEPH STACHER because ZWILLMAN had a clese friend in
California, one JERRY GEISLER, Attorney, that ZWILLMAN wanted their
interestéd represented by. ENDLER stated they could not get the
desired ninety days closing time so theirmomsey was returned and the
deal was not closed.
6) Sherry-Netherlands Hotel (Sher~Neth Corporation)
Wew York City.
. ENDLER stated that a block of Sher-Neth bonds was to be
purchased through ARNOLD 8, KIRKEBY in 1944 er 1945 through the
Atlas Corporation for $123,000. ZWILIMAN put up $41,000 in
currency for a one-third share and in addition loaned $25,000 to
ENDLER.
7) + ENDLER stated that inp 1945, ARNOLD KIRKEBY bid
for the Hampshire House in New York City, and
also bought the Warwick Hotel in New York City,
and the Sunset Towers in Beverly Hills, California.
KIRKEBY gave ENDLER the opportunity to ’ buy a
$260,000 interest in the above-naned hotels.
ENDLER stated ZWILLMAN put up $130,000 in currency
and in addition loaned him $10,000 in currency.
ENDLER stated that EI PEery subsequently ghanged
his mind and all money was returned,
