Columnist George Sokolsky reported in his column,entitled "Theee Days”,
which appeared in the Washington "Times Herald" of March 25, 1949, regsrding
the World Congress of Intellectusis in Defense of Peace held et Wroclaw, Poland
and the second one which was held in New York City. Sokolsky stated that these
conferences were designed to mobilize intellectual propagands against the
United States. He quoted the following message sent by Albert Einstein to
Wroclaw: "I hope with al] my heart that you will succeed in agsembling open-
minded personalities with real courege for your important gathering.”
