As J wrote the last report dn June, industrial unrest was the order of the day
end the threat of a yeneral strike hong heavily over the country. The plantation
workers wore on strike over the issue of a separate union far coffee workers. The
Kenya Fecervation of Labour had proposed calling a general strike if this demand were
not met. There were other verkers on strike in the printing, moter, feed, bankins,
