The YSA=-C as of November, 1959, preclaimed itself to be a city-wide revolutionary youth organizaticn designed to build secialiss in America and aimed toward ycuth on college campuses in the Chicago area and as being independent of all adult groupings. Accordirg to a second source in May, 1964, the YSA-C, also knewn as the University Young Socialists, was cansidered the youtckh ercup of the Chicago Branch SWP.and affiliated with the naticnuat crganization cf the YSA in New Yerk.
