COMMITTEE TO SECURE JUSTICE FOR MORTON SOUBSLL
WPollowing the execution of atomic spies Ethel and Julius Rosenberg,
in June, 1953, the "Communist campaign assumed a different emphasis. Its
major effort centered upon Morton Sebell, the Rosenbergs! codefendant. The
Netional Committee to Secure Justice in the fiosenderg Case - a Communist
front which had been conducting the campaign in the United States ~ was re- .
constituted as the National Rosenberg = Sobell Committee at a conference in
Chicago in October} 1953, and then the National Committee to Secure Justice
for Morton Sebell in the Rosenberg Caset...

tions," dated December 1, 1941, issued by tha Houssa
Committee on Un-American Activities, page 116.)
; In September, 1954, the name "National Committes to Secure Justice
for Morton Sobell" appeared on literature issued by the, Committee. In March,
1955, the current name, "Committee to Secure Justice for Morton Sobell" first
appeared on literature issued by the Committee.
The Address Telephone Directory for the Borough of Manhattan, New
orx City, as published by the New York Telephone Company on April 4, 1965,
lists the Committee to Secure Justice for Morton Sobell as being located at
150 Fifth Avenue, New York, New York.
